One of the little-known favourites is a Sunset Cruise leaving from Tewantin Harbour to Lake Catharaba on the Noosa Queen for just $10 return and passing by Richard Branson’s Australian residence on Makepeace Island. Along the way, the Captain calls to wild birds waiting high on the tree branches and they sweep in to gracefully accept food offerings. You are allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks although there is a small selection available onboard. Be sure to check on the website on the day for sunset departure time as tickets can’t be booked and it is a first come basis.
